Pelvic Floor Therapy

Symptoms you could be experiencing include:

● Leaking when you cough, sneeze, laugh or exercise

● A sudden, urgent need to get to the bathroom — or needing to go more often than feels normal

● Heaviness, pressure or a bulging sensation in your pelvic area

● Persistent pain in your lower abdomen, hips or pelvic region

● Pain during or after sex

● Difficulty with bowel movements or incomplete emptying

● Preparing for birth, recovering after delivery, or dealing with diastasis recti

● Recovery following pelvic surgery such as a hysterectomy

These things are common — but they're not something you simply have to accept.

Your pelvic floor does so much - and when something is off, it can affect everything. Your confidence, your comfort, your sense of yourself. The good news is that most pelvic floor issues are treatable.

At Flex & Restore, we offer specialist pelvic floor physiotherapy in a space that is warm, calm and safe.

What is the pelvic floor?

The pelvic floor is a network of muscles, ligaments and connective tissue that supports the bladder, bowel and uterus. When these muscles are weakened, tight or uncoordinated, it can lead to a range of symptoms that affect everyday life. The right therapy can restore function, reduce pain and make a real difference to how you feel in your body.

Our Services

Comprehensive Assessment

Every journey starts with a conversation. At your first appointment we'll take time to understand your history, your symptoms and your goals. We'll assess your posture, breathing and pelvic floor function, and discuss whether an internal examination would be appropriate for your care. You are always in control — nothing happens without your full consent, and internal examination is never required for treatment to be effective.

Prenatal & Postpartum Care

Pregnancy and birth ask a lot of your body. Whether you're preparing for labour, managing discomfort during pregnancy, or finding your way back to yourself after birth — we're here for all of it. Vaginal or caesarean delivery, early postpartum or further down the line, therapy can help restore strength, address leaking or prolapse, manage diastasis recti and support scar tissue recovery.

Pelvic Pain & Sexual Health

Pain during sex, persistent pelvic discomfort, vaginismus, vulvodynia, dyspareunia — these are areas that are often undertreated and rarely talked about openly. We provide compassionate, unhurried care focused on understanding what's going on, reducing pain, and helping you feel comfortable and connected in your body again.

Individualized Treatment

No two women are the same, and neither are their treatment plans. Depending on your assessment, your care may include:

  • Manual therapy — hands-on techniques to release tension, improve tissue mobility and address trigger points

  • Therapeutic exercise — strengthening, stretching and coordination exercises for the pelvic floor and core

  • Biofeedback — real-time visual or auditory feedback that helps you learn how to engage or relax your pelvic floor muscles, so you can understand exactly what's happening and work with your body

  • Electrical stimulation — gentle stimulation to improve muscle activation or reduce pain

  • Bladder & bowel retraining — practical guidance on habits, patterns and lifestyle adjustments that support your recovery

  • Education — understanding your anatomy, your condition and how to manage it with confidence day to day

Everything is tailored to you.

Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full cost of the scheduled session. We understand that emergencies happen. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment and we will do our best to accommodate you. To cancel or reschedule, please call or email our clinic directly.

Dolphin Neurostim MPS Therapy

A gentle, needle-free treatment that calms the nervous system so tight muscles can release and pain can ease. Using low-frequency microcurrent on targeted points, it can help with pelvic pain, an overactive pelvic floor, back and hip pain, headaches and stress-related tension. Where appropriate, we weave it into your broader treatment plan — never as a standalone fix.

TMJ Pain Relief

Jaw pain, clicking, clenching, locking — and the headaches, ear symptoms and neck tension that come with them. We assess your jaw, neck and posture to find what's actually driving your symptoms, then treat with hands-on therapy, targeted exercises and practical habit changes, so relief lasts beyond the treatment room.

What to Expect

Your first appointment is 60 minutes and feels more like a conversation than a clinical exam. Follow-up sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs. Many women notice meaningful improvement within 6–8 sessions, although everyone's journey looks a little different.
